Asobism has announced OmOchim, a new physics-based sandbox game coming to Steam next year. The game puts players in control of tiny mech helpers and challenges them to build increasingly ridiculous machines using everyday objects such as pencils, tires, plastic bottles, springs, and more.
At the center of the game is OmOchim, a tiny mech that can fit in the palm of your hand. Players will work alongside their mechanical companion to construct inventive contraptions capable of delivering cargo, crossing rivers, tackling environmental obstacles, and even responding to disasters threatening the city.

There are no strict blueprints to follow. Instead, players can experiment with different objects and combinations to find their own solutions. A machine that works is a success, while one that spectacularly falls apart simply becomes an opportunity to try something different.

The creativity extends well beyond small gadgets. Players can construct giant robots, walking houses, flying bicycles, cleaning machines, and plenty of other bizarre creations. With challenges designed to support multiple solutions, OmOchim encourages experimentation rather than forcing players down a single path.

For players who want more control over their inventions, the game also features an accessible visual programming system. Creations can be programmed to respond to commands, pilot drones, automate buildings, and perform other tasks, adding another layer of customization to the sandbox.

OmOchim also includes a Park Editor where players can design their own courses and playgrounds. Custom environments can be built around racing, destruction, experimentation, or simply creating as much chaos as possible before sharing them online.

When you’re ready to bring friends into the madness, local multiplayer lets players compete on the same screen using their custom-built mechs. Whether the goal is speed, strength, or simply creating the strangest machine possible, the multiplayer modes are designed to turn experimentation into friendly competition.

OmOchim is scheduled to launch on Steam in 2027 and is available to wishlist now.
