Indie developer Spaceflower and publisher ByteRockers’ Games have announced that their cozy, wooden city builder Let Them Trade will launch into Early Access on July 24, 2025, for PC via Steam. Players can get a hands-on look even sooner—an updated demo featuring the new Knights and Bandits system drops June 9 during Steam Next Fest.
Set in a whimsically detailed world carved from wood, Let Them Trade casts you as a kingdom planner under the guidance of a quirky, squirrel-loving monarch. Your mission: grow a thriving network of cities by managing trade routes, balancing resources, and defending settlements from the occasional opportunistic bandit raid.
Each city operates with a degree of autonomy, managing its own economy and resources. Happy citizens mean higher tax revenue and more generous trading with neighboring cities, while dissatisfied towns can destabilize your kingdom’s entire supply chain. Keeping everything in balance is key.
To help defend against increasing threats as your cities grow more prosperous, you’ll be able to recruit knights to guard trade routes and protect your citizens. Players can also engage with a dynamic economy—buying goods from the castle, selling at a profit, or stockpiling for future challenges. Whether playing in sandbox mode or tackling campaign scenarios, Let Them Trade emphasizes a laid-back yet strategic gameplay loop.
