Skystone Games and RedDeer.Games have officially announced Dark Stream, a first-person psychological horror game that puts players in the role of a disgraced content creator searching for one last shot at internet fame. Set inside a house with a long and violent history, the game combines supernatural horror with live streaming mechanics, allowing Twitch viewers to become part of the experience.

A demo for Dark Stream is available now on Steam, giving players an early look at its unsettling blend of exploration, investigation, and audience-driven chaos.

In Dark Stream, players enter a supposedly haunted house armed with little more than a laptop, a flashlight, and a live chat feed. As they venture deeper into the building, they encounter a series of paranormal events that actively respond to their actions. Rather than relying on scripted scares, the game challenges players to observe anomalies, interpret clues, and experiment with their surroundings to uncover the truth behind each haunting.

Every encounter functions as an interactive investigation. Correctly identifying and understanding an anomaly can stabilize the situation and reveal more about the house’s dark past. Misjudgments, however, can escalate the threat, transforming the environment into an increasingly hostile and unpredictable nightmare.

One of the game’s standout features is its integrated Twitch chat system. Viewers can react to events in real time, offering support, encouraging risky decisions, or simply enjoying the chaos as it unfolds. This creates a dynamic experience where the audience becomes an active participant rather than a passive observer.

The supernatural threats in Dark Stream are designed to react directly to player behavior rather than following a predetermined script. Every anomaly responds differently based on how players approach and investigate it, creating a more unpredictable horror experience where no encounter feels entirely the same.

Investigation is at the heart of the gameplay. Players must carefully observe their surroundings, interpret strange occurrences, and experiment with different actions to understand what is happening around them. Success reveals more of the story and helps contain the supernatural forces at work, while mistakes can make the situation far more dangerous.

As players unlock additional areas of the house, they gradually uncover the truth behind its violent history. The rooms, objects, and disturbing events are all connected, revealing a larger mystery that extends beyond a simple haunting. Meanwhile, the pressure to keep the livestream running adds another layer of tension as the supernatural activity grows more intense.

Dark Stream is currently in development for PC and will launch via Steam at a later date. Players interested in experiencing its blend of psychological horror, paranormal investigation, and audience participation can download the demo now and add the game to their Steam wishlist.
