Strikemania, the debut game from solo developer Michaël Jacquet and Belgian publisher AlterEyes, is bringing retro-inspired arcade action to Steam in Q1 2027. Players won’t have to wait that long to try it, however, as closed playtesting begins in November 2026, with registration already available. A public demo is also planned for Steam Next Fest in February 2027.

This physics-based time-attack game puts players in control of a missile navigating obstacle-filled courses. Every run is a test of precision, timing, and momentum as you squeeze through tight spaces, destroy defenses, and reach your target before the clock runs out. Attempts are short, restarts are instant, and completing each level requires finding the perfect route.

Some stages introduce an additional twist: the ability to rewind time and launch multiple missiles alongside previous attempts. Coordinating their movements and attacks creates opportunities to overcome obstacles and overwhelm defenses with a perfectly timed strike.
Players can also compete for personal bests and climb global leaderboards. For those interested in creating their own challenges, a built-in level editor provides tools to design everything from precision obstacle courses to elaborate chains of destruction.

With bold 2D visuals inspired by late-1970s and 1980s arcade games, Strikemania combines classic arcade presentation with physics-based gameplay and competitive time trials.

Strikemania is scheduled to launch on Steam in Q1 2027. Closed playtest registration is available now, ahead of its planned Steam Next Fest demo in February.
