The playable demo for Loot List: Thief Sim is now available on Steam, giving players their first chance to experience the game’s chaotic blend of stealth, physics-based gameplay, and cooperative heists. Developed by a solo creator, the game puts a unique twist on the heist genre by centering every mission around dynamic “Loot Lists” that constantly change what players must steal, destroy, or deliver.

One mission might require stealing gold bars, while another could have players searching for a seemingly worthless banana peel or delivering a rubber duck to a mysterious masked client. These unpredictable objectives ensure that no two heists play out the same way.

The demo showcases several of the game’s offbeat scenarios, including a haunted mansion robbery that descends into chaos after a faulty toaster sparks a fire, as well as a casino infiltration that sends players through underground tunnels using gadgets inspired by classic heist films.

Players begin their criminal careers as inexperienced thieves before working their way toward becoming elite professionals. As they complete increasingly dangerous contracts, they’ll visit a variety of locations, including roadside bars, high-security bank vaults, and the mysterious Area 67.

The dynamic Loot List system remains the heart of every mission. Some objectives reward careful planning and stealth, while others force players to improvise when unexpected events throw everything off course. The combination of tactical gameplay and unpredictable physics creates a sandbox experience where plans rarely survive first contact with the mission.

Outside of active jobs, players can invest their stolen profits into expanding a personal criminal hideout. This growing hub introduces new characters, upgrades, equipment, and story elements while allowing players to build their own underground criminal empire.
