Assemble Entertainment has announced that Flesh Made Fear will launch on PlayStation 5 on June 25, 2026, bringing its acclaimed survival horror experience from PC to Sony’s current-generation console. After earning a “Very Positive” rating from players on Steam, the game is poised to introduce a new audience to its unsettling blend of old-school horror, body horror, and occult terror.
Already gaining attention from horror-focused creators including Residence of Evil, SplatterCatGaming, Hollow, Elajjaz, and LaynaLazar, Flesh Made Fear has quickly established itself as a standout indie horror title inspired by the genre’s golden age.

Set in a nightmarish world plagued by flesh-hungry infected creatures, players must navigate a landscape shaped by horrific experiments and dark occult forces. The adventure begins in the eerie Rotwood Forest and a corrupted nearby town before escalating into a terrifying journey through the mansion-laboratory of the game’s primary antagonist, Victor Ripper.

The game is the latest project from California-based developer Michael Cosio, whose previous horror releases include Massacre at the Mirage, Terror at Oakheart, and Suffer the Night. Drawing inspiration from classic PlayStation-era survival horror games, Flesh Made Fear combines fixed-camera tension, puzzle-solving, resource management, and modernized controls to create an experience that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.

Players are tasked with infiltrating and dismantling Victor Ripper’s operation while uncovering the disturbing truth behind his experiments. As the story unfolds, the challenges become increasingly deadly, culminating in a final confrontation where careful resource management and player choices determine survival.

One of the game’s standout features is its replayability. Players can choose between two distinct playable characters, each with unique stats, inventories, and storylines that offer different perspectives on the unfolding horror. Combined with branching narratives, hidden secrets, and multiple surprises, the game encourages multiple playthroughs.

Additional features include fully voiced cutscenes, a variety of grotesque enemies, an arsenal of weapons, intricate puzzles, and stretch-goal content that expands the world with new levels and monsters.

Horror fans looking for a fresh take on classic survival horror won’t have to wait much longer, as Flesh Made Feararrives on PlayStation 5 on June 25 for €17.99.
