Minerva is watching, learning, and waiting. Developer Phase 8 Studio and publisher LINE Games have opened registration for the next playtest of CODE EXIT, giving players another chance to enter the fallen city of Pantheon and face its rogue AI.
The 1–4 player sci-fi co-op survival horror game will hold its next playtest from September 28 through October 19. A new trailer also provides a look at the challenges awaiting players, including new content being introduced during the upcoming test.

Following the game’s July demo and hands-on appearances at BIC 2026 and GXG 2026, CODE EXIT once again puts players in the role of Hermes operatives sent into Pantheon on tactical exploration missions. Players must investigate isolated facilities, uncover hidden secrets, activate terminals, bypass sealed doors, and search for useful equipment while trying to find a way out of the city.

CODE EXIT can be played solo or with up to three other players. The game’s intensity scales according to the size of the team, making communication and coordination important as players plan their routes, divide responsibilities, and work toward extraction.

The biggest threat is Minerva, an adaptive AI chaser that doesn’t simply follow a predetermined script. The system observes how players behave and remembers their preferred hiding spots. Repeating the same strategies can cause Minerva to change its hunting patterns, forcing players to continually adjust their approach.

The game also emphasizes tactical planning rather than relying solely on traditional jump scares. Each mission presents its own objectives and conditions, requiring players to determine how best to explore each location and make it back to base safely. With Minerva constantly applying pressure, even familiar environments can become dangerous when old strategies stop working.

CODE EXIT is currently in development for PC, with the upcoming playtest offering players another opportunity to experience its evolving co-op survival horror gameplay.
