Step back into 10,000 BC and prepare to build your legacy—literally. The upcoming VR survival adventure Neolithic Dawn from indie studio Neolithic is set to launch in Early Access on the Meta Quest via the Horizon Store on June 27, 2025, and it’s bringing something new to the survival genre: multi-generational permadeath.

Set in prehistoric North America, Neolithic Dawn puts players in the role of a lone hunter-gatherer discovered by a local tribe as a baby. As you grow and venture into the harsh wilderness, your goal is to survive, evolve, and eventually become the legendary “Star Seeker.” But the twist? Death isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning of the next generation. Each time you fall, you return as your own descendant two decades later, with the landscape—and your legacy—shaped by past decisions.

Built from the ground up with realistic physics, Neolithic Dawn lets players craft tools by hand, scale cliffs, and tame—or take down—Ice Age creatures across five expansive open-world maps. Every moment is shaped by dynamic weather, real-time day/night cycles, and tough choices between survival and companionship.
