Indie developer BitBorne Studio has announced that Goblin Company, a cooperative mining survival game filled with underground chaos, will launch on Steam on June 12, 2026. With more than 75,000 wishlists already accumulated, the game is preparing to send players deep beneath the surface in search of riches, glory, and one very large crystal.
In Goblin Company, players take on the role of goblin miners working for the questionable WHAAG MINING INC., led by the self-proclaimed King Snargle Wobblefang. The mission sounds simple enough: descend into dangerous caverns and retrieve the Giant Crystal. Of course, things rarely go according to plan.

The game combines exploration, survival, and cooperative gameplay as players carve tunnels through fully destructible environments, establish sprawling rail networks, and transport valuable resources while trying to avoid the many dangers lurking underground. Every expedition presents new opportunities for both success and spectacular disaster.

A major feature of Goblin Company is its extensive mining and rail-building system. Players can dig wherever they choose, creating custom routes through the game’s underground biomes. Mining carts serve as the primary transportation method, allowing teams to move resources efficiently—assuming the tracks stay intact and the carts remain on the rails.

Light management also plays an important role in survival. The game’s dynamic torch system forces players to carefully manage visibility while exploring the darkness below. Running out of light can quickly turn a profitable expedition into a nightmare.

As players progress, they can unlock technology upgrades for their goblin miners. However, true to the game’s humorous tone, reliability is far from guaranteed. Cooperation is encouraged, as bringing friends along not only improves efficiency but also increases the chances that someone will be available to carry extra supplies when things inevitably go wrong.

The full game will feature three unique biomes, each introducing new challenges and hazards. According to the developers, every area is more dangerous than the last, ensuring that players constantly face new obstacles during their descent.

Demo Available Ahead of Launch
Players eager to get a taste of the action can jump into the currently available demo. The demo offers access to a single biome, several unlockable upgrades, rail construction mechanics, crystal mining, and survival gameplay. While it does not include automation systems or a complete endgame objective, it provides a solid introduction to the game’s core mechanics and the unpredictable situations players can expect in the full release.

For fans of mining-focused cooperative experiences, Goblin Company offers a slower-paced alternative that emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and emergent chaos. The result is a blend of relaxed exploration and unexpected disaster that can quickly transform even the best-laid plans into memorable stories.
Goblin Company launches on Steam on June 12, 2026, for $9.99.
