Hypersect, the studio behind Inversus, has officially unveiled Never’s End—a tactical RPG blending turn-based strategy, elemental manipulation, and player-driven world-building. The game is set to launch in late 2025 for PC via Steam and PlayStation consoles.
Set in a dying world threatened by a mysterious apocalyptic force known as the Never, Never’s End casts players as an immortal warrior forged from living metal. Reincarnated in a shattered society, players must harness the power of fire, water, wind, and earth to manipulate the battlefield, rebuild humanity’s last strongholds, and push back against an ever-encroaching darkness.
Combat revolves around highly interactive environments. Elemental magic doesn’t just deal damage—it reshapes terrain, alters weather, and transforms battle strategy. Dry out rivers to reveal hidden paths, flood arenas to slow enemies, summon fog for cover, or raise stone walls to gain the high ground. Every action leaves a lasting impact on the world.
Players control a squad of possessed warriors exploring a vast open world. Along the way, settlements can be rebuilt and upgraded with blacksmiths, taverns, and trade routes, helping to grow a fledgling economy. Ancient temples can be restored to unlock new elemental abilities, each persistent through death and essential for survival.
Art direction features 3D pixel visuals with character designs by Masayoshi Nishimura (Octopath Traveler, Triangle Strategy) and an original soundtrack by Doseone (Enter the Gungeon).
