A new challenger enters the indie arena. MechAnimals, the debut title from BouncyBrain Studio—an indie team made up of veteran Hollywood animators from Kung Fu Panda, The Mario Movie, and Minions—is bringing over-the-top mech action to PC and consoles. And starting today, players can get hands-on with the game thanks to a brand-new Steam demo, released just in time for Steam Next Fest.
Originally known as Full Steam: Fluffy X Machina, the game now carries the more fitting title MechAnimals, a roguelite beat ‘em up set in a dieselpunk world where critter pilots jump into customizable mechs to battle a tyrannical mega-corporation called Krok Inc.
The new trailer—premiered during The MIX Summer Game Showcase and INDIE3—highlights the game’s bold art style, fast-paced action, and chaotic mech battles. It’s a vibrant and stylized take on classic brawler gameplay, crafted with the polish and flair you’d expect from animation pros.
