If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring the stars without dodging laser fire or blowing up alien ships, Exovia might be your new obsession. Developed in-house by indie veterans ByteRockers’ Games, Exovia is a serene 2D space mining sandbox that trades combat for calm, and chaos for clever logistics.

In Exovia, you play as a lone space engineer navigating the quiet vacuum of space, harvesting asteroid materials, and figuring out the most efficient way to haul everything back for processing. With realistic zero-gravity physics and a cozy, low-stakes vibe, it’s a game for players who love to think, tinker, and optimize without a ticking clock breathing down their neck.

Instead of high-octane action, Exovia leans into peaceful exploration and problem-solving. Each new biome introduces unique challenges, pushing you to upgrade your gear and plan smarter routes. There’s a narrative woven into the silence too—mysterious set-pieces and long-form missions give your work a greater purpose, culminating in the ultimate sci-fi milestone: unlocking a warp gate and reaching a new frontier.

ByteRockers’ Games, who have been juggling publishing duties alongside development since 2024, say they created Exovia as a kind of digital sanctuary. “The world can sometimes feel uncertain these days. We wanted to make a game where people can take their time and unwind — a space to relax in, without pressure,” said Game Designer Maxim Suckow.

A playable demo of Exovia lands on Steam on May 8th, with a full launch planned for 2026. If cozy-core engineering in space sounds like your thing, it’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
