After six years of solo development, Holonoptic has officially launched for PC via Steam. Developed entirely by Kevin Bloch, who wrote, programmed, and illustrated every aspect of the game, Holonoptic combines a deep economic simulation with party-based RPG mechanics and a narrative shaped by player choice. Players can also try the experience before purchasing, as the free demo remains available on Steam.
Set in a striking alpine cyberpunk world, players take on the role of the newly appointed CEO of Glazial, a once-prominent Swiss conglomerate whose previous leader has mysteriously vanished. With the company’s workforce largely gone and an artificial intelligence known as Geist overseeing operations, players must rebuild the business while navigating political factions, corporate rivalries, and difficult moral choices.

Holonoptic offers a robust management experience centered around expanding facilities, managing supply chains, hiring and firing employees, and competing with more than 50 companies through trade, acquisitions, and hostile takeovers. At the same time, the game places a strong emphasis on its RPG systems, with the CEO’s personality shaped by 40 psychological traits and eight mental and emotional states. Before important negotiations, players can even use various psychoactive substances to influence their focus and decision-making, adding another strategic layer to the experience.

Every major decision also contributes to one of eight competing ideological paths, unlocking different missions, storylines, and relationships while affecting how other factions respond. Combined with a cast of recruitable executives, multiple character classes, branching dialogue, and numerous story outcomes, Holonoptic encourages multiple playthroughs to uncover its different endings.

The game features more than 10 possible endings, 16 recruitable companions, over 3,000 lines of dialogue with more than half fully voiced, nine character classes, six skills, over 70 feats, more than 120 items and character modifications, 16 psychoactive substances, eight ideological systems, and a wide range of psychological mechanics that influence both gameplay and narrative progression.

Holonoptic is available now on Steam for $19.95 / £16.72 / €19.47, with a 25% launch discount available through July 30.
