One of the strangest indie games currently making waves on Steam has just become a little easier to experience. French solo developer Froke and publisher Pretty Soon have announced that the first public demo for Project P.I.T.T. is now available on Steam, giving players a chance to see why the game has already accumulated more than 55,000 wishlists ahead of launch.

Now, players can dive into the bizarre world of corporate duck production as part of the newly released demo, which will also be featured during the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

In Project P.I.T.T., players begin a new corporate internship with a seemingly simple assignment: manufacture rubber ducks and feed them into a massive bottomless pit known as the Maw. What starts as a straightforward task quickly evolves into an increasingly absurd incremental sandbox where efficiency, automation, and experimentation become the keys to success.

The demo introduces the game’s opening phase, allowing players to produce ducks, unlock upgrades, and construct strange physics-based contraptions designed to maximize productivity. Magnets, fans, panels, and other tools can be combined in creative ways to build elaborate systems that transport ducks toward their final destination. As production ramps up, players can chain together satisfying combos that generate escalating visual and audio feedback while keeping the Maw fed.

What helps set Project P.I.T.T. apart is its unusual presentation. The game takes place inside a bleak corporate environment filled with towering concrete walls, harsh lighting, and low-poly PlayStation-era visuals. The combination creates a surreal atmosphere that blends workplace satire with unsettling mystery, turning a simple production line into something far stranger than it first appears.

The newly released demo offers an early glimpse at the game’s mix of physics-driven gameplay, automation mechanics, and dark humor. Players can experiment with increasingly chaotic duck-feeding systems while uncovering hints about the mysterious corporate entity demanding endless productivity.

With thousands of wishlists already secured and growing interest heading into Steam Next Fest, Project P.I.T.T. is quickly becoming one of the more unusual indie projects to keep an eye on. For anyone curious about feeding rubber ducks to a giant corporate abyss, the demo is available now on Steam.
