This February, the gap between movies and video games gets even thinner. Publisher PRM Games, alongside Benacus Entertainment and RNF Productions, has confirmed that The Run — a pulse-pounding FMV horror thriller from interactive cinema specialist Paul Raschid — launches on PC via Steam on February 5, 2026. The game is available to wishlist now.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because The Run has already carved out a reputation across iOS, Android, and even live interactive cinema events in London. Now, it’s evolving into its most ambitious form yet, bringing its choice-driven, cinematic intensity to PC players ready to put their survival instincts to the test.
Set along a remote running trail on the stunning shores of Lake Garda in Northern Italy, The Run follows a famous fitness influencer whose routine morning jog turns into a nightmare. Hunted by seemingly random attackers, players are forced to make split-second, life-or-death decisions as events unfold in real time. Every choice matters — and every mistake can be fatal.

Paul Raschid, best known for FMV hits like The Complex, Five Dates, Ten Dates, The Gallery, and Hello Stranger, sees The Run as a glimpse into the future of storytelling.
“We’re no longer just borrowing from games or film — we’re creating something new that sits between them,” Raschid explains. “The Run is intense, emotional, terrifying, and deeply personal because the audience isn’t passive. You’re inside the story.”

That philosophy is backed up by some serious production value. The cast is led by Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones, Strike Back) and George Blagden (Vikings, Versailles), with standout appearances from legendary filmmaker Dario Argento and iconic actor Franco Nero. In total, the game features over three and a half hours of filmed content, multiple branching narratives, 20 unique deaths, and five distinct endings, ensuring no two playthroughs unfold the same way.
Beyond traditional gaming spaces, The Run has already made waves at international film festivals including Raindance London, MOTELX Lisbon, Dinard, and Imagine Amsterdam. It even enjoyed a two-month interactive residency at London’s Genesis Cinema, where audiences collectively voted on story decisions using glow sticks — turning survival horror into a shared cinematic spectacle.
