Moon Studios has officially rolled out No Rest for the Wicked Together, the long-awaited co-op multiplayer update for its dark, painterly action-RPG—now live in Steam Early Access. The update arrives alongside a major milestone for the studio, as No Rest for the Wicked has surpassed 1 million copies sold on Steam while still in Early Access.

The Together update introduces a shared co-op experience for up to four players, allowing friends to explore the dangerous island of Isola Sacra together in persistent private Realms. Designed to blend the best elements of Souls-likes, ARPGs, and MMOs, the new co-op systems expand the game’s combat, exploration, and downtime activities without compromising its deliberate, high-stakes gameplay.

Combat has been reworked to better support multiplayer, with enemies reacting dynamically when surrounded or overwhelmed, and newly curated enemy placements adding fresh surprises even for veteran players. Outside of combat, players can collaborate on housing, interact with newly revamped vendors, and make group decisions through a simple voting system that keeps chaos in check.

Beyond co-op, the update also delivers a wide range of quality-of-life improvements, reflecting months of community feedback since the game’s last major patch.

To celebrate the update and the sales milestone, Moon Studios is offering the game at 40% off on Steam—priced at $23.99 / €23.99, the lowest it has ever been and the deepest discount planned before the 1.0 launch. New players can also jump in during a free weekend, running from January 22 at 10am PT to January 26 at 10am PT. Adding to the festivities, exclusive Twitch Drops will be available from January 22 to January 30, including the Songkeeper and Champion’s Statue decorative items.

Moon Studios CEO and game director Thomas Mahler described the Together update as a defining moment for the team, noting that it brings the studio one step closer to delivering the ambitious vision fans expect. With persistent co-op Realms, long-requested features, and continued iteration, the road to version 1.0 is becoming clearer.

No Rest for the Wicked marks Moon Studios’ third full-length title, following Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Players step into the role of a Cerim, a holy warrior tasked with stopping the spread of the ancient Pestilence threatening Isola Sacra. Through weapon crafting, character progression, and homestead upgrades, players carve their own path through a world defined by political turmoil, brutal combat, and Moon Studios’ signature painterly art style.

With the Together update now live, No Rest for the Wicked invites both returning players and newcomers to face its challenges side by side—while Moon Studios continues development toward the game’s full 1.0 release on PC and future console platforms.
