If you’ve been looking for a city builder that trades spreadsheets and stress for charm and creativity, Town to City might be your next cozy obsession. From UK publisher Kwalee and developer Galaxy Grove—the team behind Station to Station—the game officially launched into Early Access today on Steam.

Set in a vibrant 19th-century world, Town to City lets you create the town of your dreams, placing every home, shop, and flower garden exactly where you want. Unlike most city builders, there’s no rigid grid here—just freedom to shape winding streets, quaint plazas, and bustling districts that feel alive and uniquely yours.

    What’s in Early Access?

The Early Access version already comes packed with content, including:

    • A story-driven campaign across two maps

    • Sandbox mode with five maps

    • Eight city stages and six monuments to unlock

    • Over 30 quests to tackle

Whether you prefer carefully arranging each flower bed or growing your economy into a thriving hub, Town to City adapts to your playstyle. Citizens bring their own needs and personalities, so keeping them happy—while watching new families move in—is just as rewarding as designing the perfect plaza.

    Build, Beautify, and Grow

Galaxy Grove leans into cozy creativity with voxel-style visuals, full customization tools, and a relaxing soundtrack that makes every session feel like unwinding with a warm cup of tea. You’ll assign jobs, expand into farming or tourism, and connect multiple towns into a flourishing region. And when you’ve built something beautiful? The in-game photo mode is there to capture it all.

Game Director Joost van Dongen says community feedback has already shaped the game, and he’s eager to see what players build next:

“The creativity shown by our demo and beta players has been truly inspiring… I can’t wait to see what players will build when the game is out, and to keep improving it together!”

    Available Now

Town to City is available on Steam for $24.99 / €24.99 / £21.99, with a 10% launch discount during its first week. A free demo is also live—and it already boasts an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating from players.
