Studio BitDot has dropped a free demo for Nano Neighbors, a cozy little social idler that blends building, decorating, and online hangouts into one tiny, chibi-styled package. Think Habbo Hotel and Club Penguin, but shrunk down to live right at the bottom of your screen while you work, play, or procrastinate.

In the demo, you’ll meet your very own NANO android—a customizable companion you can deck out with over 70 clothing items and a huge variety of hairstyles. From there, it’s all about creating the perfect hangout spot, with more than 100 furniture and decoration options already available.

To keep things lively, there are three jobs you can work to earn cash, five pets to adopt, and even online features so you can invite your friends’ NANOs over for some pixel-perfect gatherings. You’ll also find a mini-game, shared hangout spots, and plenty of ways to show off your style.

But the most interesting feature might be what’s coming next: Discord integration. Soon, your chats and servers will sync directly into the game, transforming into a vibrant, chibi-inspired pixel dimension.

The Nano Neighbors Demo is live now on Steam, so if you’re into building, decorating, or just hanging out with friends online, it might be worth checking out.
