Cupiclaw Drops New Steam Demo Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2025

New 4X survival strategy launches October 23, demo available now!

If you’ve ever thought love is a claw machine, Typin’s quirky roguelike Cupiclaw is here to prove you right. A fresh demo has just landed on Steam, bringing a pile of new features, upgrades, and quality-of-life tweaks—all while setting the stage for its appearance at this year’s Tokyo Game Show 2025.

What’s Cupiclaw?

In Cupiclaw, you play as Morris, a guy down on his luck who’s lost his engagement ring and doesn’t have the cash to replace it. His brilliant plan? Win a new one by clawing his way through a multi-floor arcade. Starting from the bargain bin floors, you’ll grab prizes, stack combos, and take on chaotic claw machines until you reach the top—where the ring (and redemption) awaits.

What’s New in the Demo

The updated demo packs in tons of changes based on community feedback:

Major Additions

  • New upgrade system between arcade floors

  • A brand-new claw machine with fresh prizes

  • Key system added between floors

  • New difficulty mode

  • Rebalanced timers, values, and costs

  • Revamped collection view & prize removal flow

  • Visible (and toggleable) Morris hands in-game

Clawing Its Way Into BIG and TGS 2025

Cupiclaw is also part of the BIG (Best Indie Games) Fall Showcase 2025, highlighting standout indie titles around the globe. And if you’re lucky enough to hit Tokyo Game Show 2025, you can try the demo on the show floor—and maybe even snag some exclusive Cupiclaw merch.

The new demo is available now on Steam, so if you’re ready to grab prizes and maybe even claw back your relationship, Morris is waiting for your help.
