Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live brought plenty of surprises, and one of the biggest came from NCSOFT and developer MISTIL GAMES with the debut of Time Takers. This new third-person, team-based survival shooter is built around a unique twist: time itself is the ultimate resource.
A Shooter Where Every Second Counts
In Time Takers, players form teams of three, each choosing a “Time Traveler” pulled from across different eras of history. The goal? Outlast rival squads in a showdown where there can only be one winning team.
Instead of just fighting for ammo or loot, the key resource here is Time Energy. It fuels your survival, powers your skills, and can be spent on “apps” that enhance combat performance. Managing it well can mean the difference between victory and elimination — because when you run out of Time Energy, it’s game over.
Flexible Builds and Unique Characters
Every Time Traveler comes with their own abilities, but no two matches play out the same. Thanks to customizable weapon loadouts and apps, even the same character can feel completely different depending on your setup. That freedom opens the door for creative strategies and new team synergies every time you play.
Built for the Future
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Time Takers promises slick visuals, detailed character animations via motion capture, and fast-paced gameplay that’s as stylish as it is chaotic.
Release Window
Time Takers is set to launch globally in 2026 on PC and consoles.
