The team behind the cult-favorite Chasm is back with something bigger, stranger, and far more explosive. Bit Kid has unveiled a brand-new trailer for WOLFHOUND, its upcoming sci-fi World War II Metroidvania, during The MIX Fall Games Showcase. The game is set to launch in 2026 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam for PC and Steam Deck.
Players step into the boots of Captain Chuck “WOLFHOUND” Rossetti, a soldier tasked with infiltrating a mysterious island, rescuing survivors, and wiping out Axis forces. But things quickly take a grotesque turn thanks to the twisted experiments of Nazi scientist Dr. Steiner.
The new trailer gives a gruesome glimpse at the horrors waiting in Steiner’s fortress — giant mutant rats with bladed tails, hulking armored guards, and pulsating flesh monstrosities. Fortunately, Rossetti isn’t defenseless. Players will scavenge weapons and ammo, wield devastating experimental tech like a railgun, and unlock advanced movement tools such as air-dash boots and a jetpack to survive the island’s nightmarish terrain.
“The team and I have largely gone heads down since our successful reveal in 2024, but we’re glad to finally show off some of the new bizarre foes you’ll square off with,” said James Petruzzi, founder and lead developer at Bit Kid. “We know our fans have been itching to see more and try it for themselves – stop by the MIX’s event in Seattle tonight and try it for yourself.”
With its mix of retro-inspired platforming, gruesome enemy design, and over-the-top weaponry, WOLFHOUND is shaping up to be a must-play for Metroidvania fans. Expect the fight against Steiner’s creations to kick off in 2026.
