Belgian indie developer Eye Blink Twice has released the playable demo for Time To Wake Up, giving players their first chance to experience its surreal psychological thriller ahead of launch. The demo is now available on Steam.

Time To Wake Up screenshot 2 In Time To Wake Up, players step into the troubled mind of Alan Malone, who finds himself trapped inside a dream shaped by fragments of his past. The experience takes place across warped versions of familiar school settings, where endless classrooms, eerie hallways, and strange locker mazes form a shifting landscape of memories.

As players explore, the environment constantly twists and transforms. Rooms stretch into impossible spaces, strong gusts of wind send you sliding across massive halls, and silent classmates stare endlessly from the shadows. Somewhere inside this maze of memories lies a mysterious book connected to Alan’s past, and finding it may be the only way out.

The game introduces a unique mechanic centered on blinking. Closing your eyes can alter the world around you—changing the layout of rooms, resetting moving objects, flooding environments, or even flipping entire spaces. Solving puzzles often requires manipulating the dream world through this unusual ability.

Players won’t be completely alone during the journey. A mysterious voice accompanies Alan throughout the dream, offering guidance while slowly revealing clues about what really happened during his school years. But not everything inside the dream is friendly, and those silent classmates watching from across the room are best avoided.

The Time To Wake Up demo is available now on Steam, offering players a glimpse into its unsettling mix of puzzle-solving, exploration, and psychological storytelling.
