From the Minds Behind WoW, Baldur’s Gate 3, and League Comes Tomo: Endless Blue

Oceanic Open-World RPG with Heart

A new wave of RPG adventure is on the horizon—literally. Onibi, a fresh indie studio powered by veteran devs from World of Warcraft, Baldur’s Gate 3, Fall Guys, Fortnite, and League of Legends, has just announced their debut title: Tomo: Endless Blue. And it’s already making waves.

Set to release on Steam in late 2026, Tomo: Endless Blue is a voxel-based, anime-inspired open-world RPG that invites players to explore an infinite ocean filled with mysterious creatures, lost civilizations, and boundless possibilities. If Studio Ghibli, Minecraft, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild had an oceanic love child, this might be it.

A World of Islands, Cultures, and Secrets
In the world of Endless Blue, shattered civilizations drift as isolated islands, each telling its own story. These islands are procedurally generated with handcrafted flair, packed with vibrant villages, dynamic NPCs, and lore-rich environments. Every island feels like a self-contained world with its own culture, beliefs, and hidden legends.

What Tomo: Endless BlueBrings to the Table:

  • Meet the Tomo – Elemental companions who fight, farm, cook, and explore alongside you. They’re more than pets—they’re your battle buddies and best friends.

  • Infinite Discovery – No two islands are the same. Villages, quests, characters, and even architectural styles are procedurally generated, offering endless surprises.

  • Voxel-Based Physics – Build fully functional vehicles and contraptions block-by-block using physics-based voxel tools. Want an airship shaped like a teapot? Go for it.

  • Strategic Combat – Use terrain to your advantage in real-time combat. Build cover, manipulate elements, and switch between you and your Tomo to turn the tide.

  • Massive Multiplayer Options – Whether you’re playing solo, couch co-op, LAN, or online, Tomo supports as many players as your system (or server) can handle.

The game’s reveal trailer sets the tone with a cinematic glimpse into life in the Endless Blue, scored with an original track performed by Ai Higuchi (Attack on Titan) and composed by Cécile Corbel and Simon Caby (Arrietty). It’s a heartfelt teaser that promises both emotion and mystery.

“Each island in the Endless Blue is a self-contained world, shaped by unique traditions, Tomo, and beliefs,” says Benjamin Devienne, CEO of Onibi. “We hope players enjoy being challenged by how different civilizations interpret the same world through vastly different lenses.”
