Somewhere beyond a relentless blizzard stands the mysterious castle of Baron Fettuccini, offering shelter from the storm and an invitation into a strange, timeless world. During the 28 Games Later showcase, The Funskin Project revealed a new trailer and announced that the old-school survival horror adventure is targeting a 2027 release.
Players take on the role of refugees who seek shelter inside the castle, only to discover that its secrets may be more dangerous than the storm outside. As daylight fades, the threats within the castle become increasingly dangerous, making exploration and understanding the surrounding environment essential to survival.

The Funskin Project draws from classic survival horror, combining limited resources, challenging puzzles, exploration, and a labyrinthine castle filled with interconnected areas. Hidden passages and locked locations provide new routes to discover as players gradually uncover what lies within the mysterious estate.

A dynamic day-and-night system also plays an important role in the experience. The changing time of day affects enemy behavior, saving mechanics, and access to certain areas, forcing players to adapt their approach as they explore.

Progression is tied to solving environmental puzzles and riddles scattered throughout the castle. Finding the right solutions can reveal new paths and bring players closer to discovering the truth behind Baron Fettuccini’s strange domain.

The Funskin Project is currently planned for release in 2027.
