Developer and publisher Octopus Panic has released a new Steam demo for GRAVHOUNDS, its upcoming co-op action-builder for one to four players. Available through October 18, the demo features seven planets across two solar systems, four playable Gravhounds, and a new Mod Deck Builder shaped by feedback from the game’s open playtest.
Players can choose between Selene, Zane, Dozer, and Finn, tackling dangerous alien environments alone or teaming up with up to three other players. The demo also includes fixes and improvements to planets, resources, objectives, animations, audio, save systems, and multiplayer stability.

Build, Fight, and Survive Together
One of the biggest additions is the Mod Deck Builder, which gives players more control over the possibilities they encounter during expeditions. Players can customize their decks between runs, experiment with different strategies, and expand their options as they unlock more mods.

GRAVHOUNDS combines fast-paced combat with base-building and resource management. Players can use the Grav Beam to launch objects and enemies across the battlefield, construct turrets and generators, and connect pipelines to keep their operations running.

Mobility is equally important, with players able to boost in any direction and hover while navigating hostile terrain. Each expedition also presents a risk-reward decision: staying longer can yield better materials, but the growing enemy swarm makes every extra second more dangerous.

The game is being developed by Octopus Panic, a studio founded by veterans of 343 Industries and DICE. Development is led by Josh Holmes, former Halo 4 creative director and former head of Halo Studios.

GRAVHOUNDS launches into Early Access on November 2, 2026, with the new Steam demo available until October 18.
