PUBLSH and Turkish developer Elyzio have announced a publishing partnership for Pera Coda, an episodic psychological murder mystery set in a dark reflection of Istanbul during an era before mobile phones and the internet.

Currently in development by Elyzio’s internal Falan Studio division, Pera Coda will be PUBLSH’s first announced title as a global publisher. The game is planned to launch on PC via Steam in 2027, with additional platforms to be announced later. Pera Coda is already available to wishlist on Steam.

The story follows Deniz, a disgraced criminal defense lawyer who becomes involved in what initially appears to be an ordinary murder investigation. His search for answers soon uncovers a much larger conspiracy involving underground figures, ruthless businessmen, fallen celebrities, and innocent people caught in the middle.
As Deniz ventures deeper into Istanbul’s underworld, the investigation also forces him to confront his own memories, regrets, relationships, and the events that led to his downfall.

Pera Coda combines classic point-and-click investigation with psychological storytelling, branching dialogue, character-driven decisions, and puzzles that can have multiple solutions. Players will examine evidence, question characters, uncover connections, and make choices that can affect relationships and alter the course of the story.

Deniz’s emotional state also plays a role in the investigation. His changing emotions can influence what he says and does, while a personality system allows players to shape his character through traits such as being street-wise, educated, sneaky, or sleazy.

One of the game’s investigation mechanics is Mental Reconstruction, which allows Deniz to reconstruct crime scenes within his mind. By gathering clues and piecing together evidence, players can revisit events and investigate what happened after the fact.

The investigation also uses Deniz’s five senses to explore Istanbul. Sights, sounds, smells, and other sensory details can trigger memories and associations, helping reveal fragments of his past and inner world.
Istanbul itself serves as an important part of the experience, with real-world locations presented through an atmospheric isometric perspective. Players will explore everything from neon-lit streets and alleys to surreal dreamscapes, with environments designed to communicate clues and symbolic details alongside the story.

Choices are intended to have lasting consequences throughout the episodic adventure. Conversations, actions, relationships, trust, and even decisions about where to go can open or close opportunities and influence how events unfold.
Pera Coda is scheduled to begin its episodic release on PC via Steam in 2027, starting with its first episode.
