DEPERSON is a hand-drawn psychological horror adventure that blends classic point-and-click gameplay with environmental puzzles, platforming, and character-specific abilities. Players take on the role of Aaron, a young man who awakens without his memories in Indrija, a dystopian nation where obedience is the key to survival and anything outside the norm is treated as an error.
As Aaron searches for answers about his past, the boundaries between reality and nightmare begin to disappear. What starts as an attempt to understand where he came from becomes a much more personal journey, forcing Aaron to confront trauma, identity, memory, and the choices that have shaped his life.

The game’s branching narrative allows players to influence Aaron’s development and the fate of those around him. Decisions can alter the course of the story, with multiple endings reflecting the choices made along the way.

DEPERSON also puts a modern spin on traditional adventure-game puzzles. Alongside point-and-click exploration, players will encounter platforming challenges, dashing abilities, and character-specific skills that add new ways to approach puzzles and obstacles.

Indrija is brought to life through detailed hand-drawn environments, atmospheric visuals, and an adaptive soundtrack designed to change alongside the player’s journey. The game’s psychological horror explores themes of oppression, trauma, identity, memory, and emotional conflict while gradually revealing more about Aaron and the world around him.

The project has also received recognition on the international indie game circuit. DEPERSON was named a finalist for Best Visuals at the Gamescom Awards 2026 and was nominated for Excellence in Art at the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026.

With its story shaped by player decisions and a community actively contributing theories, feedback, and fan creations, DEPERSON aims to make the journey through Indrija as much about understanding yourself as uncovering Aaron’s fate.
