Publisher tinyBuild has officially revealed Probably Stolen, a cyberpunk pixel-art shop simulator that blends store management, crafting, and high-risk decision-making in a dystopian space station. Players can jump into the Steam playtest beginning today to experience a world where survival depends less on following the law and more on turning a profit.

Probably Stolen screenshot 1 Set within the Lower Levels of a divided space station, Probably Stolen places players in charge of a struggling business built around merchandise of questionable origin. You’ll buy, craft, sell, and smuggle goods while balancing faction relationships, avoiding Security inspections, and occasionally settling problems with a firearm. Every decision carries consequences, and staying in business means constantly weighing profit against risk.

Rather than locking players into a single career path, Probably Stolen offers multiple ways to build a criminal enterprise. You can begin as a gunsmith, chemist, water merchant, fence, farmer, or start with almost nothing and work your way up. Each profession comes with its own challenges, from inspections and permit requirements to contraband raids and hidden operations, forcing players to choose the type of illegal business they’re willing to manage.

Customers are just as unpredictable as the merchandise. Anyone walking through the front door could be a genuine buyer, an undercover Security officer gathering evidence, a revolutionary looking for allies, or someone testing your loyalty. Every transaction requires careful judgment, allowing players to approve sales, refuse business, report suspicious activity, or simply look the other way. Every choice influences how different factions view your operation.

Managing inventory is only part of staying alive. Every item carries its own level of risk and reward, and players can increase profits by cutting product quality, although doing so may attract unwanted attention from Security or criminal organizations. One poor decision, bad investment, or illegal bust could quickly wipe out everything you’ve built.

Financial pressure never lets up, either. Rent steadily increases regardless of your performance, forcing players to decide whether to play it safe or gamble on bigger, riskier deals to stay ahead of mounting expenses. Keeping the lights on may require crossing increasingly dangerous lines.

Adding another layer of danger are rogue AI-augmented individuals hiding among the station’s population. These hostile threats secretly abduct civilians, and every faction agrees on one solution: eliminate them on sight. Players will need to identify suspicious customers and react quickly when danger appears.

Probably Stolen is available to wishlist on Steam now, with the Steam playtest open for players eager to experience its unique blend of shop management, crime simulation, and cyberpunk survival.
