Indie developer and publisher ByteRockers’ Games has surprise-launched Solnox: Grimoire of Seasons on Steam as part of its first-ever Publisher Sale.
The new dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder puts players in control of the seasons as they battle to reclaim nature from corrupt enemy hordes. Rather than focusing entirely on building the strongest possible deck, Solnox adds tactical movement and positioning to every encounter through a hexagon-based battlefield.

Players use rune stones to attack, defend, and manipulate the flow of battle, but each turn requires careful planning. Positioning can be just as important as damage output, especially as enemies close in and the battlefield becomes increasingly dangerous.
At the end of every round, the current season changes and reshapes the player’s strategy.

Spring rewards momentum by allowing players to draw a new rune stone whenever they defeat an enemy. Summer leans into offense, increasing the damage dealt by played rune stones. Autumn expands movement range, giving players more ways to reposition or escape trouble. Winter supports a more defensive approach by granting defense whenever rune stones are played and strengthening defensive runes.

The game’s central threat is known as the Last Season, a force that corrupts the land as players advance. Standing on corrupted terrain can cause up to two rune stones to become unusable, making every move and card choice more important. The further players push into the world, the more they will need to adapt to the changing battlefield.

Like other roguelikes, Solnox lets players choose their path through a series of encounters. Battles, shops, mystery fields, and healing opportunities all offer different risks and rewards, allowing players to shape each run around their preferred strategy.

Progression also unlocks three playable Wardens and six starting decks, giving players new ways to experiment with seasonal abilities and rune stone combinations.

Solnox: Grimoire of Seasons is available now on Steam, joining the ByteRockers’ Games Publisher Sale with a surprise release for fans of strategic deckbuilders and dark fantasy roguelikes.
