Wax Heads invites players to step behind the counter of a beloved record store when it launches on PC and consoles on May 5, 2026.
In the game, players take on the role of the newest employee at Repeater Records, a legendary music shop known for matching the perfect vinyl with every customer who walks through the door. But the store is struggling to stay afloat in a changing world, and it’s up to the staff—and maybe a little luck—to keep the music playing.
Much of the experience revolves around talking with the shop’s eccentric customers and figuring out which records best fit their tastes. Whether players focus on helping visitors discover their next favorite album or spend time joking around with coworkers behind the counter is entirely up to them.
Wax Heads blends narrative storytelling with light puzzle design, mini-games, and even virtual pets. The adventure unfolds in a lovingly handcrafted world with cozy-punk vibes, where humor and heartfelt moments come together in a story about community, perseverance, and the spirit of underdogs.
The game also features a comic book-inspired visual style filled with personality, including more than 50 hand-drawn records and customers. All of it is backed by an original soundtrack designed to capture the energy and charm of a bustling neighborhood record store.
