Remaster specialist Nightdive Studios has confirmed that SiN: Reloaded will finally launch in 2026, bringing the cult-classic first-person shooter back for modern platforms. The updated version will arrive on PC and consoles, including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, and will also include the original expansion, Wages of SiN.
Originally released in 1998, SiN became known for pushing the limits of the Quake II Engine while introducing a surprising amount of environmental interactivity. The story takes place in a dystopian near-future and follows security consultant Colonel John R. Blade as he attempts to stop the ruthless CEO of SinTEK Industries, Doctor Elexis Sinclaire, whose dangerous DNA-altering drug is spreading chaos through the city.

The upcoming remaster modernizes the experience while staying faithful to the original game. Powered by Nightdive’s KEX Engine, SiN: Reloaded features upgraded textures and models, support for up to 4K resolution and 144 FPS, anti-aliasing improvements, and redesigned menus and interface elements. Players will also have the option to switch between the remastered presentation and the classic SiN Gold visuals.

Gameplay improvements include modernized controls for both keyboard and mouse and gamepads, as well as refined level layouts. The remaster also highlights the original game’s standout features, including interactive environments, branching paths influenced by player choices, and combat mechanics that allowed players to disarm enemies or target specific body parts.

The included Wages of SiN mission pack adds a new storyline centered around a powerful mafia boss and his growing army of mutated followers.

Additional extras include brand-new achievements, remastered audio tracks from composer Zak Belica mixed by Chris Mock, and a vault filled with behind-the-scenes materials from the game’s development.

SiN: Reloaded is scheduled to release later in 2026 for Windows PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
