Developer Bonte Avond, known for cult favorites like Once Upon a Jester and Everybody Wham Wham, has announced the release date for its next offbeat adventure, Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime. Published by offbrand games, the quirky comedy adventure will launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch on March 16.
Described as a whimsical, frog-obsessed journey, the game blends comedy storytelling with tactical frog battles, musical moments, and plenty of strange side quests. Players step into a colorful world where collecting, trading, and battling frogs is the key to solving nearly every problem.

At the heart of the adventure is Frogtime, a tactical battler where players build a team of frogs to take on challengers. Along the way, you’ll face the local bully while getting distracted by all kinds of unusual activities—like playing music, sneaking into a beehive disguised as a bee, or racing a vampire down a snowy hill.

The game also features voice performances from several popular online creators, including LilyPichu, Ironmouse, CDawgVA, Ludwig Ahgren, and Esfand.

Fans of quirky indie titles like Thank Goodness You’re Here! and Night in the Woods can expect a similarly absurd tone packed with heartfelt moments and unusual characters. Players will explore a strange world filled with memorable oddities—from a bear wearing a frog onesie to both giant and perfectly normal skeleton men.

Other highlights include collectible frogs that can wear hats, bizarre humor, and more than a dozen heartfelt moments focused on friendship, community, and self-worth.
Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime arrives March 16 on Steam and Nintendo Switch, inviting players to grab their toadbag, count their cocoduds, and settle every problem the only way that matters: frog battles.
