Developer Flyway Games has announced that its time-bending roguelike action game Ascend to ZERO will officially launch on July 13, 2026. The game is coming to Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox on PC, Steam, and handheld devices including the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.
The announcement was revealed during the latest Xbox Partner Preview showcase, where a new trailer offered a closer look at the game’s signature Time Freezing mechanic. Players can stop time mid-battle, allowing them to plan attacks, select upgrades called “Tech Chips,” and set up devastating combos before unleashing chaos once time resumes.

The game will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass and support Xbox Play Anywhere, enabling players to seamlessly continue their progress across Xbox consoles, PC, and cloud gaming.

According to Flyway Games director Huh Taewook, the team is excited to bring the game to the broader Xbox ecosystem and ensure the experience feels fast, impactful, and optimized across multiple devices—from living room consoles to portable handheld play.

Set in the ruins of a collapsed technological civilization, Ascend to ZERO blends fast-paced action with roguelike progression and time manipulation. Players take control of powerful avatars capable of bending time while using a wide variety of weapons, gadgets, and upgrades to reshape their combat style with every run.
