Developer Jumble Cat Studios and publisher Tate Multimedia have released an extended gameplay trailer for Vegelypse, an upcoming 2.5D hand-painted roguelite beat ’em up. Originally announced during IGN’s Post-TGA Showcase, the new footage offers a closer look at the game’s energetic combat and distinctive visual style.

In Vegelypse, players follow the Hard Rock Cacti band as they fight back against waves of mutated fruits and vegetables threatening their world. What begins as a routine performance quickly spirals into a full-scale battle, with the band stepping up as unlikely heroes tasked with stopping the growing catastrophe.

The game blends classic side-scrolling brawler mechanics with roguelite systems designed to keep each run feeling fresh. Random modifiers, perks, and an evolution system encourage experimentation, while multiple modes provide different ways to experience the action.

Visually, Vegelypse stands out with hand-painted environments and smooth frame-by-frame animation inspired by traditional cartoons. The experience is further amplified by a hard-rock soundtrack that underscores the fast-paced gameplay.
