Indie studio Lidlocks has unveiled the Steam page for Finding Polka, a heartfelt walking simulator that follows a young girl on an emotional journey to reconnect with a beloved dog from her past. Alongside the announcement comes a brand-new trailer, offering a first real look at the game’s charming hand-drawn world and gentle storytelling.

At the center of Finding Polka is Friendy, who lives a quiet, peaceful life with her dog, Jazz. Everything changes when she spots a familiar face in town — a dog that looks just like Polka, her childhood companion. Before she has time to think, Friendy and Jazz take off in pursuit, setting the stage for a deeply personal adventure driven by memory, curiosity, and emotion.

Designed around the idea of “fun in every step,” Finding Polka invites players to slow down and take in the journey. Its world is brought to life through delicate ballpoint pen-style visuals, creating a vast, sketch-like environment that feels both playful and intimate. As you explore, you’ll uncover secrets, meet new friends, and stumble across small surprises that reward careful observation.

The adventure stretches across diverse locations, from city streets to forests and even the ocean. Along the way, players can interact with unique objects, discover fishing spots, and encounter light rhythm-based moments woven naturally into the world. Every area feels handcrafted, encouraging exploration at your own pace.

Adding to the charm is a cast of quirky, endearing characters. You’ll meet a giraffe with an impossibly long neck patiently waiting for… something, a perpetually hungry cat, and a star that never seems to stay buried. Lend them a hand, and they might just return the favor in unexpected ways.

One of Finding Polka’s most distinctive features is its completely wordless storytelling. There’s no dialogue or written text — instead, the game communicates through facial expressions, small gestures, and sound effects. Emotions are conveyed visually and intuitively, allowing players to form their own understanding of the journey without a single line of dialogue.

With its gentle pace, expressive art style, and focus on emotional connection, Finding Polka is shaping up to be a quietly memorable experience. The game’s Steam page is now live, and the newly released trailer offers a warm preview of what lies ahead for players ready to take each step of this magical journey.
