Get ready to chart your course through the clouds—Lost Skies officially leaves Early Access and launches into 1.0 on September 17, 2025, exclusively on PC via Steam. After a steady stream of updates, improvements, and community-driven features, Bossa Games is ready to unleash the full version of their ambitious skyfaring survival adventure.

Build, Explore, and Survive Among the Clouds
Lost Skies lets you team up with up to five friends to explore floating islands, uncover the mysteries of ancient civilizations, and face off against massive sky-dwelling beasts known as the Seraph. At the heart of the experience is your fully customizable skyship—part flying fortress, part mobile home—that you’ll upgrade with rare materials and weapons you gather on your journey.
Exploration feels exhilarating thanks to a physics-based grappling hook, wingsuits, and gliders that let you scale islands and soar freely through the skies. Community feedback has already crowned the grappling system one of the smoothest and most satisfying in any survival game.

A Spiritual Successor to Worlds Adrift
If Lost Skies feels familiar, that’s because it’s built on the foundation of Worlds Adrift, Bossa’s ambitious 2017 MMO that never made it to 1.0. But the dream didn’t die—Lost Skies is its spiritual successor, refined and rebuilt with years of community feedback. Lead Designer Luke Williams explains:
“We really wanted to elevate the elements players loved from Worlds Adrift, such as exploring hundreds of floating islands and building an entirely unique skyship from rare materials. And of course, some sky-filling bosses for good measure.”
What’s New for 1.0
During Early Access, the team introduced major features and community tools that helped shape the game into its final form:
-
Island Creator – Players can design their own floating islands and share them with the community. Many of these now populate the world.
-
Full Keybinding Support – Total control over how you climb, grapple, glide, and fight.
-
Content Additions – New weapons, ship assets, naval boss battles, regions, puzzles, and more.
-
Quality of Life Upgrades – Improved inventory management, bug fixes, and smoother stability throughout Early Access.

Ready to Launch
The small but mighty team at Bossa Games, known for quirky physics-driven hits like Surgeon Simulator and I Am Fish, has spent the last three years making Lost Skies into a world worth exploring for both veterans of Worlds Adrift and newcomers alike.

It’s time to assemble your crew, build the ultimate skyship, and take to the clouds—Lost Skies 1.0 launches September 17 on Steam.
