Indie developer UvsU: You vs You has announced that its dark claymation puzzle platformer, UvsU: You vs You, will launch on PC via Steam on January 21, 2027. The release date was revealed during IGN Fan Fest, while a free demo is available now on Steam, where it has earned a 98% Very Positive rating from more than 350 reviews.
In UvsU: You vs You, players must solve puzzles by working against recordings of their own past actions. Each challenge unfolds across multiple time loops, with players switching between two opposing roles: the angel, who must reach the end of the level, and the devil, who must kill the angel.

The catch is that every loop records your actions, and the characters in subsequent loops repeat what you did previously. Success requires coordinating these conflicting objectives across multiple iterations until every character fulfills their assigned goal. What initially seems straightforward quickly becomes a test of timing, planning, and understanding how your past decisions affect the present.

Beyond its puzzle chambers, the game features nonlinear exploration, environmental discovery, and progression driven by player knowledge. Drawing inspiration from games such as Braid, The Neverhood, Animal Well, and Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, it combines intricate puzzle design with a distinctive handmade aesthetic.

The game’s dark claymation visuals are complemented by stop-motion-style cutscenes that tell the story without dialogue or text, letting players piece together the narrative through visual storytelling.

UvsU: You vs You launches January 21, 2027, on PC via Steam. Language support will include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
