Belgian indie studio Snowberry Games has announced Silk & Sorrow, a hand-drawn dark fantasy adventure designed exclusively for two players. Available in couch and online co-op, the game follows two children exploring the Chrysalis, a mysterious world where humanity’s discarded possessions and forgotten things end up.
The Chrysalis once thrived under the light of the Sun Queen, an enormous glowworm who gave everything that fell into her realm a new purpose. Now she is dead, and the darkness is causing the world and its inhabitants to forget who they are.

The children discover Glint, a glowing grub that can illuminate their surroundings. However, Glint can only be in one place at a time, forcing one player to carry the light while the other navigates the darkness. Communication and trust are essential as players solve environmental puzzles, fight lurking creatures, and meet the unusual inhabitants of this forgotten world.

Players can also feed Glint fireflies to strengthen their companion and unlock new abilities while exploring hand-drawn environments filled with discarded objects, forgotten memories, emotions, and even people.

Developed by Antwerp-based Snowberry Games, a two-person team creating games for two players, Silk & Sorrow is the studio’s first self-published game after two years of development. Every environment, creature, and animation frame is drawn by hand.
