Publisher 312 Interactive and developer LootBAG Studios are bringing online co-op to On the Rocks, their first-person bar management and crafting simulation. The updated demo is available now on PC via Steam ahead of Steam Next Fest, running October 19–26, 2026, giving players an early look at the game’s multiplayer features.

The new co-op preview supports up to four players, allowing friends to work together to keep a bar running in a world devastated by endless war. Players can create a lobby, invite their friends, and explore the wasteland together while progressing through the story, gathering supplies, brewing drinks, shopping, and managing their inventory.

Communication plays an important role in the multiplayer experience. Proximity voice chat lets players talk naturally when working together at the bar, while walkie-talkies allow those equipped with the appropriate gear to communicate over longer distances. Whether coordinating a supply run or warning teammates about dangerous creatures in the desert, staying connected can make all the difference. Shared progress is saved to the host’s world.

Set in the year 2635, On the Rocks takes place in a barren world where clean water has all but disappeared. After raiders ambush a travelling convoy, players are rescued by Uncle John, an aging survivor who offers them shelter in his family’s abandoned bar. In exchange, they must help restore the establishment and turn it into the wasteland’s last great hangout.

Running the bar requires more than serving drinks. Players must manage supplies, purchase furniture, upgrade their establishment, and build a reputation among the survivors who visit. Exploring the surrounding wasteland is equally important, with resources needed to keep the business operating and attract new customers.

Combat also factors into the experience, with players using firearms and melee weapons to hunt mutated creatures. These encounters provide volatile fluids that can be used to brew distinctive beers and other concoctions. Discovering new recipes and refining the brewing process adds another layer to the game’s combination of survival, crafting, exploration, and business management.

With four-player co-op now available in the demo, players can divide responsibilities among their crew, whether that means hunting for resources, brewing new drinks, or keeping the bar running while others venture into the desert.
Running a bar has never been a one-person job, so bringing co-op to On the Rocks felt like the natural next step,
