Indie developer The Flying Baguette and publisher HYPERSTRANGE have released Odd Town, a retro-styled first-person sandbox adventure, on PC via Steam for $11.99. Set in a seemingly ordinary town hiding some disturbing secrets, the game gives players the freedom to explore, interact with residents, and decide just how far they’re willing to go to escape.
After your car breaks down in Saint Sectaire, you’ll need to find a way to earn enough money to get back on the road. Take legitimate odd jobs, such as cleaning the local cinema, or turn to more questionable activities to make some quick cash. From stealing sandwiches to breaking into storefronts, there are plenty of ways to get by, but the locals aren’t necessarily as friendly as they appear.

The handcrafted open world is packed with interactive characters, hidden passages, and restricted areas concealing unsettling discoveries. Your choices have consequences, and getting on the wrong side of the law can land you in jail. Fortunately, secret routes around town may offer a way out, provided you can find them before things get worse.

As you explore, strange incidents begin to unfold. People disappear, the police become increasingly aggressive, and the town’s unsettling secrets become harder to ignore. You’ll need to decide whom to trust, which jobs to take, and how to handle the situations you encounter. With reactive characters and interconnected mysteries, your approach can lead to different outcomes throughout the adventure.

Whether you play as a law-abiding citizen or embrace a more chaotic approach to survival, Odd Town encourages experimentation and gives you the freedom to deal with its strange residents on your own terms.
Odd Town is available now on PC via Steam for $11.99, with English-language support.
