Indie developer DR Studio and publisher Pretty Soon have announced that Neuron Activation launches on Steam on October 28. The game blends fast-paced micro-challenges with an increasingly unsettling narrative about workplace obedience and mysterious corporate authority.
Described as a digital fidget box disguised as a puzzle game, Neuron Activation challenges players to push buttons, flip switches, adjust sliders, shoot targets, and complete more than 80 interactive tasks. As the action intensifies, players must juggle multiple objectives and chain actions together to build their scores and multipliers.

However, there’s more happening behind the control panel than chasing high scores. Assignments from a mysterious figure known as The Handler gradually introduce a darker narrative, with increasingly bizarre orders raising questions about who’s really in control.

Players will eventually face a choice: continue following instructions from their corporate overseers or push back against their demands. The experience combines satisfying, easy-to-learn gameplay with a psychological thriller about obedience and authority.

A demo is available now on Steam, where the game is also participating in October’s Steam Next Fest. The demo currently holds a 100% positive rating on Steam, according to the announcement.
