Chorus Worldwide and Osaka-based Indie-us Games have revealed a new look at UNDEFEATED: Genesis, an upcoming superhero action RPG coming to Steam and PlayStation 5 next year. The latest trailer, unveiled during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct 2026, highlights the game’s free-flight system, high-speed movement, superpowered combat and the expansive alien world of Voltissia.
Players take on the role of Albert Hartree, known as Al, a young man who has always dreamed of becoming a hero. His dream takes an unexpected turn when he is transported to Voltissia, an alien planet where he awakens with extraordinary abilities.
Stranded far from home, Al joins the Enelf, survivors of a civilization that was destroyed 500 years earlier. Together, they set out to protect the remaining inhabitants, uncover the mystery behind Voltissia’s destruction and find a way for Al to return home.
UNDEFEATED: Genesis expands on the original UNDEFEATED, a free superhero game that attracted millions of players worldwide. The new premium title expands the concept with a larger world, deeper progression and a greater emphasis on exploration, combat and the freedom of movement associated with being a superhero.
Free flight is at the center of the experience. Players can soar across Voltissia at high speeds, cover large distances and move seamlessly between the ground and sky while exploring its ruined landscapes. The planet combines lush wilderness, destroyed cities and strange lifeforms, creating a world shaped by the mysterious event that brought down its civilization.
Combat is built around the same sense of speed and freedom. Players can use flight to close distances quickly before launching directly into ground or aerial battles against powerful mutants. New superpowers and abilities are unlocked through combat, giving Al additional ways to explore the environment and approach enemies.
As Al’s abilities develop, players can combine different powers to create their own approach to combat. Each new ability also expands the ways they can travel through Voltissia and interact with its dangers.
The story revolves around the mysterious explosion that destroyed Voltissia’s civilization five centuries ago. As Al works alongside the Enelf, he will explore the remains of the planet’s lost civilization while facing powerful enemies and learning more about the events that shaped the world.
UNDEFEATED: Genesis is scheduled to launch on Steam and PlayStation 5 in 2027.
