The first playable demo for Terrible Lizards, the first-person horror platformer from WDR Studios, is now available on PC ahead of the game’s full launch on October 29, 2026. The studio was founded by John and Christian Gelardi of JT Music, the popular video game music tribute channel, as they expand into developing original horror experiences.
Players take on the role of Jordan, who finds himself stranded along Route 66 with little sign of civilization beyond a rundown tourist attraction called Dalton’s Dinos. With the lights out and no one around to help, Jordan has little choice but to enter the unsettling tourist trap despite the warning signs surrounding the abandoned location.

Jordan’s background as a UCLA track athlete and his experience with parkour give him the mobility needed to navigate the dangerous environment. After making his way inside, however, his focus turns to finding a way to call for help while trying to understand why a missing mascot costume is giving him such a disturbing feeling.
The real danger soon becomes clear: dinosaurs are roaming the area.

The demo lets players experience portions of the first two levels, combining platforming and survival mechanics as Jordan navigates difficult paths, bypasses guarded areas, and avoids mysterious apex predators. Movement and quick thinking are essential for staying alive as the creatures can strike without warning.

The full game expands the mystery beneath Dalton’s Dinos, where Jordan will explore a hidden digsite and begin uncovering what happened to Dalton, his wife Elena, and their son, Dalton Jr. The demo offers the first clues to the larger story while introducing the unsettling world WDR Studios has created.

Terrible Lizards draws heavily from 1990s nostalgia and classic horror games while putting its own spin on dinosaur-themed survival horror. John Gelardi, co-founder of WDR Studios and JT Music and the game’s producer and designer, said the studio’s long history of creating music inspired by games made developing its own horror title a natural progression. The team also collaborated with developers including Amanda Farough to help bring its vision to life.

Following the demo’s PC debut, Terrible Lizards launches October 29 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Additional platform announcements are planned for a later date.
