Independent developer Angelicore Game Studios has officially unveiled Angelic: Dark Symphony, a cinematic science-fiction RPG that serves as the narrative centerpiece of the Angelic universe. Developed by a team that includes former Bungie and Crytek veterans, the game combines an ensemble-driven story, strategic turn-based combat, and a dark cosmic mystery set in humanity’s distant future.
The announcement is accompanied by a new in-engine teaser that introduces the game’s neo-human protagonists, cinematic presentation, and the mysterious force emerging alongside the long-awaited return of the beings known as angels.

The game’s story begins centuries after humanity engineered genetically enhanced neo-humans to survive the harsh realities of space exploration. Known as angels, these superior beings eventually rebelled against the corporations that sought to control them, winning the devastating Interhuman Wars before disappearing into deep space. Two hundred years later, the angels have returned, bringing with them an ominous new threat.

Rather than centering the narrative around a single protagonist, Angelic: Dark Symphony tells its story through multiple playable heroes. Each character features unique motivations, personal relationships, and perspectives that shape both the narrative and the game’s tactical turn-based battles. As players progress through the campaign, they experience interconnected storylines while taking direct control of different heroes during combat encounters.

According to Angelicore Game Studios founder and game director Erkan Bayol, the game’s core concept explores what humanity might become when forced to evolve for life among the stars faster than natural evolution would allow. That premise extends beyond the setting, influencing the game’s structure by allowing players to experience the larger narrative through an ensemble cast rather than a traditional lone hero.

The first campaign transports players to Dreadheaven, a remote neo-human colony once known as The Heaven. Tasked with investigating why the colony has suddenly gone silent, the heroes soon uncover catastrophic events that challenge their understanding of faith, morality, evolution, reality, and even their own existence.

Angelic: Dark Symphony is currently in development for PC, with additional platforms being considered for future release.
