Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms publishing label and indie developer Atmos Games have announced that Twisted Towerwill launch on Steam for PC on August 18. Developed by the studio led by Thomas Brush, the creator of Pinstripe and Neversong, the first-person action-adventure blends fast-paced combat, exploration, puzzles, and horror inside an abandoned 1950s theme park.

Drawing inspiration from the wonder of classic amusement parks and the atmospheric storytelling of BioShock, Twisted Tower places players inside a once-cheerful resort that has become overrun by corrupted fairy-tale mascots. As they fight their way to the top of the mysterious tower, players will encounter deadly traps, challenging puzzles, and uncover the dark history hidden within the abandoned attraction, all while attempting to save the love of their life.

The journey takes players through five distinct environments, including a haunted hotel, an abandoned waterpark, a sinister clown casino, a carnival forest, and a space station. Each area introduces new enemies, hazards, and opportunities to explore multiple paths, encouraging replayability with different routes available on future playthroughs.

Combat is centered around a collection of imaginative weapons that match the game’s bizarre setting. Players can wield everything from a whack-a-mole mallet and rubber-band pistol to a dart-firing Tommy Gun, bubblegum-spewing chaingun, sniper slingshot, ray gun, and several other unconventional tools of destruction. Collectible toys also unlock new traversal abilities, allowing players to jump farther, dash through dangerous areas, and grapple their way higher into the tower.

Twisted Tower combines fast-paced first-person shooter gameplay with exploration, environmental puzzles, and an emotional narrative, creating a horror adventure that mixes dark humor with unsettling carnival-inspired imagery.
