LINE Games has announced that the first public playtest for QUIET, its upcoming online co-op horror game, will begin on August 3. Players can sign up now for a chance to experience the unique multiplayer horror title, where every sound could spell disaster for the entire team.
In QUIET, players take control of a flock of alien ducks that have crash-landed on Earth after their spaceship breaks down. Their only hope of returning home is to sneak through a seemingly ordinary house and recover the parts needed to repair their ship. Unfortunately, the home’s owner is a terrifying monster with exceptional hearing, meaning every footstep, dropped object, and panicked quack could reveal your location.

The game emphasizes teamwork and careful coordination as players search each room for valuable ship components while avoiding unnecessary noise. Carrying too many items, knocking over furniture, or making careless movements can quickly alert the creature stalking the house. Communication is essential, but even talking at the wrong moment can put the entire flock in danger.

Adding to the challenge, the duck protagonists aren’t exactly built for stealth. Their clumsy nature creates plenty of opportunities for chaotic and humorous moments, making every successful escape feel like a hard-earned victory. One player’s mistake can jeopardize the entire mission, encouraging groups to work together and think before making their next move.

Players interested in trying QUIET ahead of launch can register now for the August 3 playtest and see if their flock has what it takes to stay silent long enough to make it home.
