The containment breach is far from over. Developer HST Game Studios and indie publishing platform indie.io have released Chapter 02 of SCP: Fragmented Minds on Steam, bringing a massive Early Access update that pushes players deeper into the Martian research facility of Site-113.
Available now as a free update, Chapter 02 significantly expands the game’s environments, enemies, and core gameplay systems. To celebrate the launch as part of the indie.io Franchise Sale, the game is currently available at its biggest discount yet, with a limited-time 30% price cut.
Deeper Into Site-113
Chapter 02 sends players further into the fractured remains of the Martian facility, adding 15 new areas to explore. Among the most notable additions is the North Wing, a dynamic location that shifts and evolves as players progress, changing the layout and threats encountered along the way.
Another new area, known as The Forest, introduces a mysterious environment centered around a major puzzle encounter tied to one of the community’s most requested SCP anomalies. As players push deeper into the facility, each new section raises more questions about what truly went wrong at Site-113.
New Anomalies and Encounters
The update expands the roster of threats lurking within the facility with the arrival of new SCP entities and an additional mechanical enemy.
Players will face encounters involving anomalies like SCP-966 and SCP-149, each introducing new mechanics and unpredictable challenges. Chapter 02 also brings one of the most iconic SCP entities into the game, delivering a moment longtime fans of the SCP Foundation mythos will immediately recognize.
Expanded Gameplay Systems
Chapter 02 doesn’t just add new locations and enemies—it also introduces several major gameplay systems that deepen the survival experience.
The EL2 Wrist Device allows players to traverse environments vertically and reposition quickly, opening up new paths and combat strategies. Meanwhile, Scranton Reality Anchors give players the ability to stabilize—or manipulate—the fabric of reality itself, affecting encounters and exploration in meaningful ways.

A new guiding character helps provide context for events unfolding within the facility, while optional side content expands the experience even further—including the long-awaited storyline centered around SCP-049.
A Community-Driven Evolution
The update was built directly from player feedback following Chapter 01, making Chapter 02 one of the most ambitious improvements yet for the game’s Early Access roadmap.
