A new multiplayer party game is sprouting up across multiple platforms. Publisher Curveball Games and developer Cloth Cat Games have officially revealed Planted!, a co-op competitive title where players grow produce and use it as ammunition in chaotic arena battles. The game is headed to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Planted! blends elements of farming simulation, sports competition, and party-game antics into a fast-paced multiplayer experience. Players must plant crops, grow them strategically, and then launch their produce at targets—or their opponents—to rack up points and secure victory.

The gameplay revolves around managing your garden while staying one step ahead of the competition. Players can enhance their harvest with fertilizer to grow massive point-scoring crops, steal produce from rival gardens, or deploy power-ups to swing the match in their favor. The result is a mix of strategy and chaos as players scramble to outgrow and outplay their friends.

Multiplayer is a major focus, with matches supporting up to four players both locally and online. Cross-play between PC and consoles will also be available, allowing players to compete regardless of platform. For those who prefer to garden solo, Planted! includes a single-player campaign set in the surprisingly ruthless world of competitive gardening.

“We are thrilled to showcase Planted! for the very first time,”

said Ed Gregory, Senior Publishing Manager at Curveball Games. “When Cloth Cat told us about their horticultural combat party game packed with character and playful ideas, we were sold instantly.”

According to Cloth Cat Games Creative Producer Ben Cawthorne, the project has been in the works for years. “Planted! has been a background passion project for the Cloth Cat team for the last five years, and we’re excited that the game we couldn’t stop thinking about has finally become a reality.”

In terms of gameplay variety, Planted! aims to offer something for everyone. Players can jump into chaotic matches with up to four friends either locally on the couch or online, while solo players can dive into a single-player campaign set within the competitive world of horticultural combat. As matches unfold, players will learn new strategies, experiment with tactics, and adapt their gardening approach in order to become the most efficient—and dangerous—grower in the arena.

The arenas themselves are packed with hazards and opportunities. Players will dodge spud turrets, trigger explosive weed bombs, and harvest their crops at just the right moment to maximize points. Success comes from balancing garden management with quick reactions as players try to outscore rivals in a series of fast-paced matches.

Matches take place across eight different environments, each offering unique layouts and gameplay twists that keep every round feeling fresh. Players can also choose from a cast of quirky and unlikely characters, each bringing their own personality and style into the garden battlefield.

Planted! will launch digitally for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with physical editions planned for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Stay tuned for more updates as this competitive gardening game continues to grow toward release.
