Lionsgate has officially announced a new AAA video game based on the blockbuster John Wick universe, developed in partnership with Saber Interactive. The project was unveiled during Sony State of Play and is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC.
Designed as a single-player, third-person action title for mature audiences, the game aims to capture the franchise’s signature “gun-fu” combat style while delivering a deeply cinematic experience. Players will step directly into the role of the legendary Baba Yaga, blending high-impact gunplay, intense driving sequences, and immersive storytelling.
Franchise director Chad Stahelski and star Keanu Reeves are both involved in production, with Reeves set to reprise the likeness and voice of John Wick. The collaboration signals a strong commitment to authenticity as the teams work to translate the films’ choreography, atmosphere, and world-building into an interactive format.
Rather than retelling familiar events, the game will feature an original narrative set years before the “Impossible Task,” expanding the timeline with both returning characters and new faces created specifically for the project. Expect hard-hitting combat, dynamic camerawork, and richly detailed environments designed to make players feel like they’re inside a John Wick film.
The announcement continues the rapid expansion of the franchise, which already includes four hit films, the Peacock series The Continental: From the World of John Wick, and the upcoming spinoff Ballerina starring Ana de Armas.
Saber Interactive brings serious action credentials to the project as well, following the success of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which earned major award nominations and sold millions of copies worldwide.
The untitled John Wick game is now available to wishlist on consoles and PC, with more details expected as development progresses.
