Indie developer CableHook Games has announced that Here Comes The Swarm will enter Steam Early Access on March 5, 2026, giving players their first chance to battle back against a planet-wide infestation. A newly released trailer highlights the game’s mix of real-time strategy, survival mechanics, and tactical planning as humanity fights to reclaim the devastated world of Ulora.

Combining classic RTS gameplay with survival pressure and a flexible pause system, the game tasks players with building and defending settlements while launching counterattacks against a relentless hive mind. Careful preparation is key, as thousands of enemies can descend on defenses in massive waves.

The Early Access version will include a full tutorial, expedition missions, skirmishes, a boss encounter, and introductions to powerful deities such as Tiamman and Karkadann. Choosing a god grants unique abilities that can significantly influence strategy, allowing players to tailor their approach through divine blessings and build combinations.

Players will gather resources, expand their stronghold, train armies, and venture beyond their walls on expedition maps filled with unpredictable threats and rewards. Roguelike-style decisions, including Blessings and Burdens, add further variety to each run while encouraging adaptability in the face of escalating danger.

CableHook Games plans to shape the game’s future alongside community feedback throughout Early Access, with updates focused on new content, balancing, and expanded features.
